German week was organized in the school during the month of October 2011. Students of both V and VI classes took great initiative in preparing charts and PowerPoint Presentation on various topics pertaining to Germany like festivals of Germany, Rockbands and Historical monuments of Germany etc.

AQUA WEEK
|
Aqua Week was organized from October 10 to 14, 2011, to sensitize our young students about the importance of water and to help them conserve water. Children were given a demonstration of properties of water along with tips on safe drinking water. Children enjoyed colouring posters and taking part in the Aqua Rally where they conveyed to all the message of saving water.

HINDI WEEK
|
The school celebrated Hindi Week from September 12 to 14, 2011. A quiz was organized to test knowledge of literature. They poured their creative juices in myriad activities such as 24x7 News Channel, Face to Face and creative writing.

ALPHABET WEEK
|
To improve the vocabulary of our toddlers and to make alphabet learning enjoyable Alphabet Week was organized from September 12 to 19, 2011. Identification and revision of the alphabets was conducted through audio-visual aids.

ENGLISH WEEK
|
To encourage the students to explore the world of English and literature language, English week was organized from August 24 to 26, 2011. Interactive and enjoyable array of activities were organized such as wall magazine making, comic strip making, literary quiz, movie presentation and panel discussions.

FRENCH WEEK ‘La Semaine du Françoise’
|
In order to propagate and strengthen the knowledge of French amongst students, the school celebrated FRENCH WEEK from August 23 to 26, 2011. Various activities were held such as greeting card making, poetry writing, cartoon strip making, poster making and slogan writing.

POETRY WEEK
|
To spread the aroma of poetry, Poetry Week was organized in the school from August 16 to 19, 2011 for the students of Montessori. Beautiful recitations were amplified by intelligent use of props. The wonderful renditions achieved the mood and tempo the poems were meant for. It enabled the children to develop appreciation for poetry.

PEACE WEEK
|
Peace Week was celebrated from August 9 to 12, 2011 to inculcate a finer understanding and appreciation of the value of peace. Students displayed their aspiration for peace through a mélange of activities such as poster making, Skit presentation and group discussions .

HEALTH IS WEALTH WEEK
|
Health is Wealth week was organized from August 1 to 5, 2011 where kids engaged themselves in healthy physical activities and tickled their taste buds with healthy and nutritious snacks. Students of Primary department engaged themselves in poster making and First aid box making activity.

SOCIAL SCIENCE WEEK
|
In order to imbibe the values and acquaint the students with our customs and religions, Social science week was organized for class I to V from 26.07.2011 to 28.07.2011. Poster Making and model making competitions were conducted on the theme “India of my dreams”.

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK
|
“Science and Technology Week” was celebrated from May 2 to 9, 2011 to develop scientific thinking, attitude of experimentation and skill of keen observation in a planned way. Various activities like ‘Parachute Making’, ‘Flip Book Activity’, ‘Comic Strips (Endangered Species)’ and ‘Story of a Discovery’.

EARTH WEEK
|
In order to create awareness and sensitize our children of Montessori Department about our planet Earth ‘Save our Earth Week’ was organized from April 25 to 29, 2011. The week long activities included a special assembly on ‘Save our Species’, Importance of Nature and its preservation, Colouring and paper pasting activity and Globe Hand Painting.

ART WEEK
|
Art week was celebrated from April 25 to 29, 2011. A workshop, which extended for a period of five days, was conducted for students to provide them a rare and unique combination of learning strokes and enhancing their mystical knowledge of the times of Lord Rama. The workshop was conducted by Ms Shanti Devi and Ms Jyoti who have been associated with SPIC MACAY for past 10 years. They shared with students an interesting and vivid form of Madhubani art thereby kindling a new love of the aesthetic form.

MATHEMATICS WEEK
|
The school organized “Math-O-Magic” week from April 18 to 21, 2011. Activities such as Dice making and bird/animal figure making using geometrical shapes was organized which proved to be an interesting tool for learning shapes and numbers. ‘Rangometry’, ‘Mathematics Rangoli’ ensured that students explore fun in mathematics by designing beautiful patterns using geometrical shapes. Mathematical Tambola and mathematical quiz raised the interest quotient of students. A game show – “DOUBLE OR QUIT” and PowerPoint Presentation honed mathematical and analytical skills of students. Students realized how much mathematics has to do with everyday life. It was an effort to eradicate prevailing Mathsphobia.

ADAPTATION WEEK
|
To extend a warm welcome to our charming Lilliputs, a thrilling and exciting time – ‘Adaptation Week’ was organized for Mont-I from March 29, 2011 to April 1, 2011. The new members of Bal Bharati family were welcomed by their favourite cartoon characters. A day camp was organized which was an exciting package of Puppet Show, Rajasthani folk dance and Magic show. Some innovative and interesting fun games and fun races were also organized. The week culminated with a cake cutting ceremony followed by Bingo dance party.Interesting activities were recorded for the Slam book ‘My fond memories’. Each day goodies such as chocodeckers, cookies, healthy soup packets and crayons were distributed to the new arrivals. The entire week was an enjoyable and memorable experience which our children will cherish for a long time.

GREEN SCHOOL-CLEAN SCHOOL WEEK
|
To imbibe in our children the importance of working in a neat and clean environment, sense of responsibility, dignity of labour and civic consciousness, ‘Green School-Clean School’ was organized from February 7 to 10, 2011 for students of Mont I & II. |
