UN GLOBAL ROAD SAFETY WEEK

UN Global Road Safety Week was celebrated from April 25 to 29, 2016, to sensitize and communicate the importance of Road Safety through following activities:
  • Puppet Show on safety rules
  • Role Play on best practices
  • Videos on Road Safety
  • Safety Roadies Quiz
  • Rally to promote safe driving

ADAPTATION WEEK

Adaption Week was organized from April 04 to 07, 2016, to help young Bal Bhartians acclimatize to their new school life. The fun-filled days comprised of events like magic show, tattoo art, races, craft activities, animated movie shows and Icy treat. Photo shoots, cake and dance party mesmerized our tiny tots. Each day, children carried home gifts, memories and an ear to ear smile on their faces.

FRENCH CONNECTION WEEK

French Connection Week was organised during April 25 to 29, 2016. Various learning activities like French Pen Pals, dramatization and Scrapbook making on famous places in France, its tradition, food and cultural vied to engage students’ attention. Great enthusiasm and creativity marked the week-long activities. French Connection Week enhanced proficiency in French and was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

BIO DIVERSITY WEEK

Biodiversity Week was organized from 18 April to 25 April 2016, to sensitize the young minds to the flora and fauna of India and other countries. The Week connected the young minds to Nature and motivated them for doing their bit to protect it. Activities like Bio Walk Ramp Show, Power Point Presentation Competition, Biodiversity Maps, Biodiversity Buzzle and Biodiversity Blog witnessed Eco-Saviours exercising their wit, creativity and sensibilities for comforting the Mother Earth.

HEALTH & HYGIENE WEEK

Health & Hygiene Week organized from December 8 to 11, 2015 included following activities:
  • Puppet Show
  • Poem Recitation – Health is Wealth
  • Balanced Diet Chart
  • Creative Writing – We are what we eat
  • Talk by School Doctor

CODING WEEK

The Coding week was celebrated from 8 to 11 December, 2015 in which students from Classes VI-XI participated. The aim of this week was to develop the programming logic where the essential concept of programming like sequence, selection and looping was taught.

COMMERCE WEEK- ‘WEEK-O-NOMICS’

Commerce Week - ‘WEEK-O-NOMICS’ included interesting sessions on:
  • Product designing
  • Career planning
  • Brainstorming quiz ‘BizCom’
  • Peer Teaching sessions on financial literacy

FRIENDSHIP WEEK

Our little ones tied in the golden thread of friendship and love on Friendship day to under-privileged children from Snehlaya. They organised a special assembly, a movie show and card making activity.

TRANSPORT WEEK

‘On the Go’-Transport week included:
  • Movie- "Tayo's first drive’
  • A special assembly -'Safety on wheels‘
  • A Show 'n' tell Competition
  • A dance presentation-'Lights of the signal‘
The students were issued driving licenses to declare them as informed drivers.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT WEEK

Long lasting response to any disaster is ‘Preparedness’. Plagued with multitude of humanitarian challenges, our country is consistently ranked as one of the most vulnerable regions exposed to natural and man-made hazards. To prepare our students for any kind of emergency, Disaster Management week was celebrated from 17 to 21 August, 2015 which included activities such as First Aid Box Making, Drop-Cover- Hold Drill, Quiz and Collage Making.

HERITAGE WEEK

Heritage week was held from 17 to 21 August, 2015.Our students learnt and explored various facets of India through various activities such as Flavour of India, Heritage Walk, Movie Time-Shahid Bhagat Singh, Patriotic Song Competition, My country, My Pride- A field activity.

HINDI WEEK

Pravah- Hindi Week was celebrated from 3 to 7 August, 2015 which focussed on developing passion for language through activities such as Character Dramatisation on literary luminaries, Poetry Writing on struggles in life, Extempore on female literacy, Skit on life of A.P.J. Kalam , Ad making on Communal Harmony.

SCIENCE WEEK

During Science Week, children explored the concepts of science through fun activities such as “Paddle Boat”, “Balloon Rocket”, Water-a-Wonder Liquid, Matter Around us and “Air is Everywhere” Quiz. It helped to develop scientific temper and spirit of enquiry among students.

GENDER SENSITIVITY WEEK

Gender equality is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good governance. Children were sensitised towards the increasing significance of Gender Equality through activities such as survey on increasing crime against women, brochure making on skewed gender ratio and project on ‘Comparison of male-female ratio’.

GIVING IS LIVING WEEK

On the occasion of Friendship Day , children from “Snehalaya – A Home For Orphans” were invited to play fun games such as Musical Chair and Tug Of War, Passing The Parcel. They shared community lunch and developed new bonds of friendship.
