FATHER’S DAY |

On the occasion of Father’s day, Fathers were invited for the special assembly with M-I students who made greeting cards with the pictures of their fathers pasted on it and M-II students made their dad feel special by giving them a ‘token of love’ exclusively made by them. |
WORLD FARM ANIMAL DAY |
|
To sensitize our Lilliputs towards the farm animals and to develop a feeling of love and care for them, “World Farm Animal Day” was celebrated. Students of Mont-I and II wore beautifully made face masks of different farm animals. They also recited related rhymes in their respective classes. |
ECO CLUB DAY |
|
To reiterate that students are the real champions for the cause of preservation of environment, the school celebrated Eco Club day. Activities likes ‘create your scrap garden’, ‘make a rag doll’, ‘convert trash into flash’, plantation drive and charter of clean Delhi were conducted. |
SUDOKU CLUB DAY |

In our endeavour to make Mathematics a fun loving subject, Sudoku club conducted various Sodoku puzzle solving competition for Primary classes on September 21, 2011. |
FRIENDSHIP DAY |

Friendship can bring an exuberant smile on every face. Montessori children celebrated this day in a novel way with children from Ánuragh-a home for the less privileged to break inhibitions and bond with each other. The children were welcomed by our tiny tots with tilak and friendship bands. The noble mission of friendship was accomplished with a community lunch where all the children sat together and enjoyed food together. |
TEDDY BEAR DAY |

Our tiny tots celebrated Teddy Bear Day on September 9, 2011. All the children got their Teddy Bears and a Teddy corner was created in their classrooms. The children showed great interest in listening to the story ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’. Cookies teased their tastes buds. It was an exciting and memorable day for our young toddlers. |
WATERMELON DAY |

To add a new dimension of fun to learning while enjoying multifarious health benefits, Watermelon Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Children brought juicy diced watermelon as fruit lunch. Varied fun filled activities like making stick puppets from watermelons were thoroughly enjoyed. To inculcate healthy eating habits, a movie on balanced diet and healthy eating was shown. |
MARIA MONTESSORI DAY |

Saluting a great educationist who revamped the eduscape with her revolutionary ideas, Maria is best known for the philosophy of education which bears her name. Bal Bharati has been proudly associated with the Montessori system of education developed by Maria Montessori. To pay a tribute to her, our tiny tots celebrated ‘Maria Montessori Day on August 30, 2011. An array of activities was planned such as innovative races and games to enhance fine and gross muscles development. Our little ones also watched an interesting movie on the life of Maria Montessori. It was a fun-filled day aiming at developing skills of our tiny tots that will prepare them for a lifetime of learning. |
FACE TO FAITH DAY |

The school celebrated Face to Faith Day on August 10, 2011. Different activities were organized such as Power Point presentation on “Faith and Belief”, short skit presentation on “Peace or Pieces”, class presentations on “Peace is its own reward” etc. Members of Face to Faith club shared their experiences of video conference sessions with peers across the globe on issues like faith, religion, conflict, charity, poverty etc. The movies prepared by students for Face to Faith Movie Making Competition were also shown. |
FRUIT SALAD DAY |

Healthy mind dwells in a healthy body. To inculcate healthy eating habits `Fruit Salad Day’ was organized for students of class III on July 7, 2011. Students brought different fruits from home and made a fruit chaat in their respective classes. It was a good experience as children enjoyed eating chat and got more information about the nutritional value of different fruits. |

THE MALARIA DAY |

Bal Bharati Public School Dwarka in association with Tony Blair Faith Foundation U.K. participated in the Malaria Awareness Campaign. The school conducted a Face to Faith Malaria Day multi point videoconference session on May 5, 2011 with schools in India, UK and Australia. During the VC students shared their views about Malaria eradication with Guest Speaker Jo Yirell from Bedfordshire England, UK. BBPS, Dwarka has been spear-heading the Malaria Awareness Campaign and encourages students to contribute towards the campaign and donation of Malaria nets in Africa through Tony Blair Faith Foundation. |

WORLD DANCE DAY |

World Dance Day was celebrated on April 29, 2011 in association with SPIC MACAY. World Renowned dancer Ms. Rama Vaidyanathan, recipient of many awards including the prestigious National Award was the performer who gave a spell binding lecture cum demonstration of ancient dance form. |
ORIENTATION DAY |

Orientation Day was celebrated in the school on March 26, 2011. The invocation dance which exemplified precision & perfection was followed by an interactive session on positive parenting by Ms Anu Singh and Dr. Geeta Hiteshi, Clinical psychologists. They dwelt on issues pertaining to pre-schoolers. |
GRADUATION DAY |

The little steps of nursery kids which began on an unsteady note blossomed into confident, stable and steady striders when 400 little starlets of the school stepped into the primary wing in a blaze of glitz and glory. The highlight of the programme was a dramatization, ‘Identity regained’, a choir song-“Congratulations” and a fashion show depicting famous women personalities. The guest for the event was Dr Nitin Malik, Joint Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh University, who applauded the efforts of the tiny tots. |

UK DAY |

UK day was celebrated on 11.02.11. Various activities such as preparation of folders depicting the personalities of UK and India and collage making on the festivals of UK and India were organised. |

HOMECOMING DAY |
|
It was a bright and sunny morning. Every student of BBPS Dwarka was excited to return to school as it was the first day after the long and rejuvenating summer vacations. Our day began by remembering the Almighty. The students and teachers of Progress House made great efforts to make this Homecoming Day a memorable one. Some students of our school who had visited NASA in May 2011 shared their experiences with the other students. Our Principal, Mrs Suruchi Gandhi, addressed the students and motivated them to gear up for the tasks lying ahead. It was a great start for the next phase of session 2011-12. |

LAUGHTER DAY |

‘Laughter is the best medicine’. To bring a charming smile on the faces of our tiny tots, a special assembly was conducted on May 3, 2011. A row of colourful clowns doing summer salts made everyone giggle. A funny rhyme on laughter was recited by one of the students. It was a fun filled day which was thoroughly enjoyed by our little angels. |

LABOUR DAY |

The assembly for Montessori and VI to XII on Labour Day was organized on April 28, 2011. Labour Day also known as ‘May Day’ is celebrated on May 1, 2011 to appreciate the value of labour that humans do. Children presented their token of love towards support staff by giving ‘Thank you Card’. Few games like musical chair, collection of balls etc. were organized for support staff to make this day memorable for them. Children conveyed a message of gratitude to the members of the support staff. |

GOOD LIVING CLUB DAY |

Good Living Club Day was celebrated on April 27, 2011 for the students of class I to III. Various activities were organized like Flower pot making, Nutritious Chaat making, Thumb stick Doll making. |

EARTH DAY |

A special assembly on ‘Save our Species’ was conducted on April 26, 2011 where the importance of plants, animals and was reiterated on importance of Nature and its preservation. |

GOOD FRIDAY |

A special assembly was held on April 19, 2011 on the occasion of ‘Good Friday’. Children presented a wonderful skit presenting life and teaching of Jesus. |

WORLD HEALTH DAY |

World Health Day is celebrated on April 8, 2011 for classes II to V. The main aim of this activity was to create awareness among children regarding the importance of healthy diet. Students were engaged in making nutritious and delicious healthy salads. |

SOCIAL JUSTICE DAY |

To celebrate Social Justice Day a special assembly was organized on April 7, 2011. Achievers of the last academic session securing 100% attendance and Good Reader Award were felicitated in the assembly. To explain the equal opportunities promised by our constitution to people from varied social and economic background in the country. |

SATRARAMBH |

On April 1, 2011, a special assembly was organize to welcome students to new session. Students were reminded that "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. Determination and dedication were at peak when the entire school pledged with Drishti Sagar, the Head Girl, for attaining the common goals of the institution- moral upliftment, spirit of camaraderie, team work, patriotism, community welfare, protection of environment, cleanliness of the school and surroundings and most significantly self discipline. The wise words of Principal enthused the students and staff to embark on new ventures marking Satrarambh and let go off any inertia that impedes our saga of ever soaring success stories. |
