In order to widen the experiential horizons of the students and to fan their creativity, the school encourages number of club activities. Each student is provided with gamut of options to choose from – Good Living Club, Literary Club, Technology Club, Sudoko Club, Young Reporters' Club, G. K. Club, Art Club, Mother Earth Club, Community Outreach Club, Space Club and Astronomy Club. These clubs provide an organised, well planned and enjoyable space to our students to keep nurturing and polishing their interests and skills.

INTERACT CLUB |

The induction ceremony of the members of the school’s Interact club in the presence of veteran Rotarians Dr. Rajiv Sagar, Mrs. Indu chopra and Mr. Nitin Bhatnagar was organized on February 3, 2011. The office bearers were felicitated with badges by the Principal and the rotary members of Rotary Club of Delhi. |
SPACE CLUB |

• To nudge students towards the marvels of the universe, the Space Club organized sessions on topics such as Universe and Celestial Objects, Finding directions using telescope, Life Cycle of stars, pulsars and black hole. |

• the Space Club organized a night camp in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh on February 4, 2011. 150 students accompanied by four school teachers went for the trip and had the privilege to spot different constellations under the guidance of instructors. |

• Space Club members visited Jantar Mantar on February 4, 2010 under the Astronomy Club module – II. They also visited Nehru Planetarium on March 2, 2010 for a session on New Solar System in the Sky theater. |

• Space club members were also invited for an interactive session with NASA astronaut Joan Higginbotham at Nehru Memorial Museum on July 6, 2010. Ms Higginbotham shared her experiences in space and discussed the various problems faced by her in space missions. She also showed a clip of her stay in space. |
COMMUNITY OUTREACH |

In order to sensitize our children to the suffering and plight of underprivileged children, who are less fortunate than them, children from ‘Anugrah’ were invited to school on March 12, 2010. They had an enjoyable time having joyride on swings and enjoyed snacks served by children. |

Fulfilling its social commitments, the school also extended a helping hand to NGO- Jagriti, by organizing a theatre workshop for the underprivileged children. |
NATURE CLUB |

The year saw the birth of Nature Club (Red Panda Club) of the school. With the initial involvement of 15 students, it soon reached the hundred mark. Treasure Hunt by WWF in the National Zoological Park and many other activities were carried out by our environmentally conscious students who also participated in the National Essay Writing Competition for Youth on climate change. A Young Climate Savers Project has also been launched in collaboration with WWF-India, the country’s leading environmental organization. Under which the students are working actively on increasing the green cover in and around the school and are trying whole heartedly to make our school a polythene free zone. |

Selection of Young Leaders for Change at the TUNZA Conference Another feather was added in the cap of BBPS, Dwarka when Shreya Srinivas of class IX A got selected amongst the top 13 students from all over India to represent Delhi in the Asia – Pacific UNEP (United Nations Environment Program) children and youth conference, February 2012 at Ahmedabad after successfully passing through a process of online quiz, written test and interview conducted by Centre for Environment Education and Govt. of India under Paryavaran Mitra Program. These selected young leaders for change will provide inputs to two significant international events, the Rio +20 in June 2012 and the 11th Conference of the Parties (COP) to the U.N. Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in October 2012 at Hyderabad, India. |

KFT Nature Trail Forty students from 20 Kids for Tigers schools along with their teachers were led on a nature trail by Dr. Yasir on 26 November, 2011 at Aravali Biodiversity Park, New Delhi. The trail was organized by Kids for Tigers to identify the tiger ambassadors for Delhi. Accompanied by Ms. Sharmishtha, KFT Delhi coordinator, the kids and teachers walked along the Biodiversity Park learning about the importance of the forest and its wildlife. Everybody enjoyed the trail and spoke about various ecological aspects of biodiversity and the issues concerning India’s wildlife. |

Arshdeep (VIII B) and Himanshu Ahuja (VIII C) participated in the nature trail to the Aravali Biodiversity Park (Vasant Vihar) organized by Kids for Tiger on January 29, 2011. They were briefed about different Indian species of plants, animals and birds. The students thoroughly enjoyed the nature trail. |
