SPECIAL DAYS
- UK DAY: UK day was celebrated on 11.02.11. Various activities such as preparation of folders depicting the personalities of UK and India and collage making on the festivals of UK and India were organised.
- ORIENTATION DAY:The school celebrated ‘Orientation Day’ on March 26, 2011 for the new parents of Pre-School. It was a unique endeavour to invigorate the parents of the young toddlers to embark on a fruitful journey of positive parenting and touching some beautiful lives. The session began on the right note as the budding dansueses of our school presented an ethereal dance.
The special guest for the occasion was Dr Aruna Broota, a leading clinical psychologist, an author, a corporate trainer and a recipient of numerous National and International awards. Dr Broota advised the parents to learn time management as it is quintessential to positive parenting.
The session was an eye-opener which removed many cobwebs and gave perspective clarity to the enthusiastic parents and staff members alike.
- GRADUATION DAY:The school celebrates ‘Graduation Day’ on March 18, 2011 to mark the progression of tiny tots from Montessori to the Primary Department of the school.
The children cherished the sweet memories, they shared with their loving teachers and expressed their affection and gratitude by presenting a foot tapping western dance leaving everyone grooving and rocking to its amazing rhythm.
The young children received their graduation trophies from the Principal, who wished best of luck to all of them.
- PRIMARY SPORTS DAY:Primary Sports Day was organized on September 28,2010. The school playground wore a festive look with colourful flags. A gymnastic display and various events such as Pop the Balloon Race, Dress-Up Yourself Race, Hurdle Race etc were held.
- NEW ZEALAND DAY:The school celebrated ‘New Zealand Day’ on September 24, 2010. Activities such as making clay models, masks and painting T-shirts, helped the students learn about the rich fascinating history of New Zealand.
- JAPAN DAY:To familiarize the students with this unique country, its people, culture and art, Japan Day was celebrated on August 5, 2010. Various activities such as designing paper fans, bookmarks, and posters were organized. The highlight of the event was a workshop on Origami and Calligraphy by the Japan Foundation. The students also held a special assembly which marked the bombing of Hiroshima-Nagasaki.
- AUSTRALIA DAY:The school celebrated Australia Day on July 30, 2010, to learn and explore more about the land of the aborigines and kangaroos. To get a flavour of this beautiful country, the students made colourful display boards, and interesting power point presentations, along with participating in Australia word search.
- ECO CLUB DAY:To sensitize the students about the thoughtless usage of ever depleting resources and degrading environmental conditions, the school organized ECO-CLUB DAY on July 26, 2010. Various activities such as movie show, T-shirt painting, bio-degradable puppet making and making paper bags were conducted.
- CHINA DAY:The school celebrated China Day on July 23, 2010. The highlight of the event was “CHINA TOWN” which was created by the students. It provided an authentic taste of food, culture and costumes of the land of the dragon. The children also enjoyed making Chinese dolls and masks.
- GENOME DAY:In a bid to inspire young minds to pursue genetics, Genome Day was organized in association with ‘The Genetics Congress Trust’ on July 21, 2010. Ms. Mandira Pal, Coordinator of the trust conducted a brainstorming session with the students. It was followed by a Quiz on Genetics. The winners not only received cash prizes but will also be invited to interact with scientists in the field of genetic research in future.
- TEACHERS DAY:The school kept the tradition alive by celebrating Teachers’ Day on September 4, 2010. The school Principal vociferously congratulated the teachers on doing a commendable job and reiterated the pivotal role played by teachers in moulding a child’s life, in touching a child’s heart and soul with the alchemy of care and concern.
- CAREER FAIR:A career fair was hosted in the premises of the school on September 29 and 30, 2010 with a view to provide students with an opportunity to explore the plethora of career options available after school. Several big names in the field of quality education made their presence felt in the fair. Several leading schools of Delhi took part in the two day long extravaganza. The children found it extremely beneficial as it cleared doubts besides making them aware of the various opportunities available to them. The fair also received an encouraging response from parents.
- HOME COMING DAY:A special assembly is organised on July 1 every year to celebrate Home Coming Day as the students rejoined after summer vacations. Several activities are organised to make the children feel truly welcomed.
